Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 wireless headphones will be mass produced in Vietnam in the second half of this year, according to a tweet today by Tianfeng International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
According to Kuo, production of the AirPods Pro 2 was able to move to Vietnam because it has a relatively less complex supply chain than other Apple products. Moreover, Vietnam has a better production environment, such as infrastructure and labor, than most countries outside of China. He noted that the new product introduction (NPI) segment for AirPods Pro 2 is still in China.
In addition, he predicted that the charging case of AirPods Pro 2 will still support Lightning connector instead of USB-C.
